great weather tomorrow …

gonna be a wet 12 hours

See yall in the AM!!

No time to really write anything… heck, I barely have time to drink this.  Shipyard Export is one of my favorite beers.  Try it, you’ll like it.  It tastes good and good is what we want.

Men drink this beer.  So I’m a man.

4.5/5 caps yo

My legs are tired.  Compared to the last few weeks… I rode a butt load over the weekend.  The only thing is that I was riding in Maine.  Yes it is nice… but all of the roads are flat and they all seem to lead to the same place for some reason.  It’s weird… but whatever.

Saturday I managed just over 70 miles with a 20.1 mph average solo.  I was either soft-pedaling at 25mph or else working my legs off to push 16 mph.  Decent ride though.  And I rode with awesome style.

Sunday I went out on the local Cape Able shop ride with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb (the Savage brothers).  I did the “A-“ ride.  There was no “A” ride… so I didn’t really know what to expect.  Well, I stayed in the little ring the whole time.  It was good though.  I spun my legs out for 40 miles and then tacked on 10 more at the end for fun.

Then today I woke up, wasn’t motivated to ride in Maine… So I ate food and then drove home.  When I got home I went on a nice little 3 hour mt bike ride.  Then I mowed lawns.  Then I ate tacos. Now I’m watching Deadliest Catch.

I’m hoping it rains tomorrow night so that I can take a day off.

So at work there is a lady named Mandy who always has candy out in front of her desk.  I, being the fat kid who I am, am always eating her candy.  I love Mandy’s Candies.  They fill my soul with with happiness and love.

So today I was on a Hershey Kiss binge.  Who knew that Hershey Kisses came in so many varieties… there is the regular milk chocolate, almonds, truffles, caramel and even peanut butter filled! Oh my!  So after eating handfuls of Kisses all day it would only be right to carry on the chocolate craving to my beer, right?  Made sense to me…

SOOO, this week I bring to you Young’s Luxury Double Chocolate Stout.  Let me tell you, this crap is good.

First Impressions: I like the can… its big.  Big means more beer.  And more beer is what we want… right?  So the can is good.  There is also a weird ball thing which you can hear rattling around in the can… kinda funky… made me want to shake it up… but then remembered that beer is carbonated and shaking is probably the wrong way to go.  Therefore, I swirled it.  I guess it’s to mix up all of the chocolaty  goodness…  This beer is thick.  Like the way cyclocross mud should be.  But the foam tastes like a Snickers… so it’s cool.  The actual beer part of it tastes great too and apparently I’m not the only one who thinks that.  You also want to drink this out of a glass.  Cans are for sissies.

If you get this beer, drink it while eating something like a cake or brownies.  Not pancakes…. but definitely a tiramisu.

SS, you got anything to add?

Ok… you may recall from my previous goals that I want to basically get killer tan lines this season… the tan lines will mean I’m riding my bikes… riding my bikes will get me killer huge nasty looking legs… killer huge nasty looking legs will win me races… and winning races will get me ladies…

Well so far none of my goals have come true.  Don’t fret, there is still time.

BUT what I would like to say is that I am going to add to my list of goals for the summer.  Let’s kick things off by saying that I want killer ripping insane chiseled abs.  Basically, I want TGP abs.  So… how will I do this?  With my secret weapon: The Ab Wheel.  I was dicking around on it yesterday and can hardly move my mid section now.  That sh*t works.

If I fail at getting ripped abs to match my killer huge nasty looking legs then I’ll cry… and then I will work on getting bigger boobs (trust me, it’s funny, click it yo).

Ok, you may remember my awesome manly sideburns?  Well they were my first real attempt at growing facial hair.  They ruled.  But now I want to take it one step further.  What could be more manly than sideburns?  A man beard.  That’s right folks; I’m attempting to grow a beard.  I’m 4 weeks in… there’s no stopping me now!

I also want to make $1,000,000 over the next three weeks.

Ok, I’m starting a new thing.  Beer reviews.  Ok, let’s kick it off…

Widmer Brothers Hefeweizen:

This is a nice little unfiltered wheat beer which has a nice clean taste.  What’s a clean taste you ask?  Well, I’ll tell you… A clean taste will glide over your fungiform papillae and make you begging for more.  This is a nice cool beer.  It’s not jam packed with flavor… but that’s a good thing.  I would recommend this beer if you were to sit outside in the sun for a bit… or else if you were playing drinking games.  It’s a beer which wants to hang out but at the same wouldn’t feel bad if you had to pour it into a Solo cup and chug it.

According to their website:

Widmer Hefeweizen was awarded the 2008 Gold Medal at the World Beer Cup.  Widmer Hefeweizen also won this prestigious gold medal in 2004 and has also been awarded the GABF gold medal in 1998 and 2006.

Sounds pretty good to me…  I’ll give it 3.5 out of 5 bottle caps.

Play this as background music while you read this.

Ahhhhh vacation.  Im gonna tell ya… it is nice AND I still have not had a day off yet since I started working at the sweatshop yesterday.  The best part of working is that you can leave the work at work… for the most part.  This means no more late nights cramming but rather riding my bike each night and getting in super shape.

Tuesday night is the Gear Worksride.  Super fun and glad to be riding it again.  Last night I road the B ride and held a 20.1 MPH average.  The only downside of the B ride is that you have to wait for everyone at all of the intersections.  But it’s a great interval work out where you get to ride hard and then take a breather.  Im planning on doing it for two more weeks and then jumping up to the A ride which is just pure torture.  It’s a non stop hard, feeling like your gonna puke, then puking, leg burning, soul sucking ride.  It’s great fun if you can hang… but if you get dropped, you get dropped.  Hopefully you know your way back or else some roads around the area.

Wednesday night is the Stow hammerfest.  Im super pumped to be back at that ride since I get to get beat down by teamates and get to dish out a bit too.  Todays ride went well.  Our group (of like 20!)  stuck together up until Oak hill and then I made a move to pass Mr. English and Coley.  A nice little gap formed but there was no way that I was gonna be able to hold it off.  So there I went into tempo mode until I got sucked in by Coley, English, Hamilton, Chris, Welling and Mr. Cat 5.  The rest of the loop was ridden with this group which was definitely pretty fun.  Nice and fast and my legs had the good kind of burning.  I had a 20 MPH average which is pretty good for the Stow loop I think.

The drive back from Stow was pretty sweet too.  I was flipping through the stations when I came across ‘everlasting love’ which you should be getting serenaded by right now if you chose to click the link at the top.  This song is too good and I was happy to discover that the videos for this song are quite spectacular as well.  I continued to listen to the station the rest of the ride home.  Great choice by me.  96.1 was playing the best love songs I had ever heard and I must say Delilah made the experience so much better.

OK, I registered… and somehow made a typo in my team name.  Oh well.

Who wants to do this with me?  One of the longer races: 6/12/24 hr.  Im atleast gonna do the 6 solo.

So Snickers came out with this new candy bar… ‘Snickers Charged.’  It is quite possibly the greatest thing ever.  It’s packed with caffeine and even has B-Vitamins in it!  Sweeet!!  Just what this world needs… more fat and hyper people who intake lots of vitamin B.  Basically, they are just gonna turn into kids who want to do ‘hood rat stuff’ with their friends.

Well, Im glad that the weather sucks because I’m stuck in the library for my two finals tomorrow.  Studying really isn’t working out though because I keep looking at 29ers.  I can’t wait till I start building mine.  *sigh*
