Well… I’m not racing this weekend.  Shocking, I know.  Instead, I’m getting hammered.

Im almost positive that its the first weekend since June that I’m not packing up the car and driving to some remote location in New England.  Now before you call me a slacker, I’ll let you know that I was planning on ‘cross racing in CT… but that race was canceled. boooo. I was looking forward to it.  Just 40 minutes away. Bummer.

Racing in Amesbury was an option.  Its 2.5 hours away from me.  I have two tests Monday and stuff due Tuesday.  I need Sunday to work.  Damn school.

Danielson Adventure Sports Cross Cup

September 30th

You never suffered so much. This course will burry you and make you smile at the same time. Good hard nosed racing at it’s best.  My courses are relentless.

This race is all about good ol’ fashioned racing. No bells , no whistles, just alittle beer for the prim’s.  Guaranteed to make you suffer. More fun than a barrel of monkeys.  Fast, twisty and painfull. 2 set s of barriers and a run up that will make you cry. Promoter has over ten years racing experience, built by him the course is sure to make you grit your teath and smile at the same time.
Perfect for cross racing.

(too bad they don’t proof read…)

I had Pop Tarts instead. Pop Tarts suck.  Had no choice though… The good ole’ dining hall here at Bryant opens at 10 and I was off at 8:30.  Where too?  Well to a bike race, duh!

Oh boy.  Quad Cycles put on a great race today in Bedford.  The course was great! It was a shorter loop which dipped in and out of the woods, had a loose run up, a sketchy downhill section which tons of riders ate sh*t on, a fast set of barriers, a bunch of switchbacks, and dust.  Wow that course was dusty especially at the start.

I started basically dead last in the ¾ field.  Apparently at 11:45 everyone lines up at staging now.  I rolled up at 11:50 with rich and we were at the very back of the field. Yay.  I managed to pass a hand full of people right away on the first lap during the switch backs and on that sketchy downhill.  That downhill was a pain (I just got new shoes and the cleats are shifted slightly more back than on my old shoes… so clipping in smoothly was a coin toss).  I placed in the low 20’s and I’m not complaining considering my crappy starting position and the fact that it was my 3rd cross race.

Tuesday I lifted.  As a result, this whole week Ive been insanely sore and haven’t been capable of doing anything…. So Ive been eating lots of food and getting fat :)    I hope my legs are ready for ‘cross sunday in Bedford.

I wish I looked THIS good.
